Street Light Pole Replacement Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW | UPDATES| PHOTOS

The Street Light Pole Replacement Project consists of replacing City wide street light poles with deteriorated foundation connections and wooden pole lantern style street lights.  All work will be on City right-of-way.  During the replacement process, affected street lights may be turned off at certain periods.

The first phase of the project was completed on April 14, 2017.  Street light poles were selected as priority locations based on the condition of the poles and available funds.  The Public Works Department awarded a $468,150 contract to St. Francis Electric to replace 40 street light poles with deteriorated foundation connections and 54 wooden pole lantern style street lights along Ralston Avenue.

The second phase of the project will resume in 2018 to replace the remaining 51 wooden pole lantern style street light poles.
