Alexander Park Restroom Project
On May 10, 2016, construction for the Alexander Park Restroom was approved by the Belmont City Council. This much needed improvement will enhance the visitor experience at this beloved neighborhood park. The old green metal restroom will be removed and a new restroom will be installed at a better location, away from adjacent backyards. The project is scheduled to start in September, after Labor Day, and will take about a month to complete. The park will likely be closed during this period for construction. The work is anticipated to be completed in October 2016. Staff provided an update to the Sterling Downs Neighborhood Association and will get signage posted on site.

The new restroom is a pre-fabricated model as shown that includes porcelain amenities inside and a handsome exterior. It includes a drinking water fountain, automatic door locks for nighttime, electric hot water, and is fully accessible.
