Police Release Sketch of Burglary Suspect
Contact: Captain Patrick Halleran - Public Information Officer, Belmont Police & Fire Departments (650) 595-7430
Belmont Police investigators are releasing a composite sketch of a suspect, who may be connected to several recent residential burglaries.
On Wednesday 2/1/17 at approximately 11:20am, unknown suspect knocked on front door of a home in the 1100 block of Chula Vista Dr. When the resident, who was in a different part of the home, didn't respond the suspect went around to backyard. The resident then saw the suspect in the backyard and called 9-1-1. The suspect, who apparently realized someone was home, fled over a fence on the south side of the property. An extensive search was conducted by Belmont PD with assistance from a Burlingame PD K9, but the suspect was not found.
The suspect described as medium complexion male, possible in late teens, 5-10, 140 pounds, wearing a light gray hoodie, black pants, black rimmed glasses and black gloves. No suspect vehicle was seen or heard.
Later that afternoon, a resident in the 1200 block of Chula Vista Dr reported that their home had been burglarized sometime during the day. In addition, two homes in the 900 block of North Rd were also burglarized the same day. It is unknown if the suspect in the sketch is connected to the other three, but investigators believe he is probably connected to the other Chula Vista Dr burglary.
Persons with information on this suspect and/or any of these burglaries are asked to contact Belmont Police at 650-595-7400 or email@example.com.
