El Camino Real Caltrans Traffic Lighting System Upgrade Project on State Route 82/84 in Various Cities (San Mateo County)

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues construction on State Route 82 (El Camino Real) for the Traffic Lighting System Improvement Upgrade Project in various cities in San Mateo County.
Trench paving continues on Route 82 (El Camino Real) at various locations, until completed.
Crews will work in various locations between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. (Weather permitting) Some night work will be required.
One lane will remain open at all times on State Route 82 (El Camino Real) in both directions during construction. Motorists should allow for extra travel time and expect minor delays. Changeable Message Signs will be in place to warn motorists of this work.
Scheduled completion date of construction is end of June 2017.
NOTE: Residents and Businesses may notice increased noise from mandatory backup alarms while the contractor is working in the construction zone.

The City's contractor, Saint Francis Electric, will be working on the streetlight pole replacement project on Ralston Avenue between Alameda de las Pulgas and Hiller Street. Work vehicles will be on the shoulder of the road. Work is weather dependent.
