Traffic Advisories

NNOWe understand your time is precious, so we are planning to provide you with up to date information so you have greater control over your drive, with insights that allow you to discover the best route so you can save time.  

We are bringing you the traffic advisory weekly updates on currently known roadway and related projects, and private utility work (based on street encroachment permits), to provide you an opportunity to look ahead, plan your travel times and check delays due to various street activities. 

 

 

Caltrans

 El Camino Real @ Ruth Avenue
 El Camino Real @ 5th Avenue

Caltrans continues construction on El Camino Real for the Traffic Lighting System Improvement Upgrade Project.

One lane will remain open at all times in both directions during construction. Motorists should allow for extra travel time and expect minor delays. Changeable Message Signs will be in place to warn motorists of this work.

NOTE: Residents and Businesses may notice increased noise from mandatory backup alarms while the contractor is working in the construction zone.

 Bay Pacific Pipelines, the City's sewer contractor will be conducting work on the sewer main as part  of the 2016 Sewer Rehabilitation Project.  Through traffic allowed, flaggers  will be onsite for traffic control.

  Ralston Avenue (Between El Camino Real and 6th Avenue) 
  April 7- May 2  
  Lane Closure/Lane Shifting

 PG&E contractors will be repairing a fiber optic line and restoring the sidewalk, curb, gutter  and  pavement on the north side of Ralston Avenue between El Camino and 6th Avenue.    The majority of  the work will require the closing of the lane adjacent to the  sidewalk and  the shifting of traffic. The  work has been scheduled to take advantage of the  Belmont-  Redwood Shores Dristict Spring Break  School Recess.  Please anticipate minor delays.  


  Old County Road (Masonic to San Mateo border)

Rolling Lane Closure 

 The Public Works Streets Divisions will be conducting roadway repairs for potholes on Old County  Road between Masonic Way to the San Mateo border.  There will be a rolling lane closure and two-  way traffic will be maintained.

  Ralston Avenue (East of Hallmark Drive) 
  May 1-June 1

  Lane Closure   

 PG&E will be working on their gas facilities on Ralston Avenue (east of Hallmark Drive) in  the  sidewalk area and the right driving lane.  Traffic control will be in place.  Please  anticipate minor  delays. 


 Shoreway Road (@ Sem Lane) 
  May 1-May 12

 Telecommunications conduit installation will take place at 1301 Shoreway Road along the sidewalk and  shoulder of the northbound direction of Shoreway.  Work will take May 1-May12 M-F from 8-5.  Travel  restrictions localized.
